August Burns Red (one of my favorite bands, you should check 'em out), has several of their albums available on Spotify as just the instrumental versions of all of the songs on the album.

I lloooovvvveeeee this concept, and I find myself often wondering why there aren't more bands that do this. Like, are there financial drawbacks for bands to do this? I can't imagine it would take much time investment to just mute the vocal tracks to generate the digital versions of each of the songs. It feels like it would just be a bonus means of generating listens.

I'd be curious to learn if there are drawbacks to this. If there aren't, why don't more bands do this?
