Sunday 3/29 - Church

• Today is Palm Sunday … kinda wish there had been a little bit of focus around this point, I would love to understand this a little better.

• “Your story, His glory” - the name of the current series.

• Mark chapter 5

• Mark 4 - Jesus has calmed the storm on the way across the lake. The disciples marveled, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”

• They arrived at the region of the Gerasenes, and were approached by the demon oppressed man who lived among the tombs.

• If I’m not feeling any kind of push back or resistance from the enemy, then I’m not enough of a threat for him to worry about. 😬

• vs 8 & 9 are interesting to me. Jesus transitions directly from asking the unclean spirit to come out of the man (so, nothing happens??), to asking him what his name is.

• I wonder who it was that Jesus was speaking to when he asked ”What is your name?”, was it the man, or the demon?

• Galatians 5:1 - ”For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.”
