This power outage at the Florida State game is wild. Like … stuff happens, I get it, and I’m sure I probably just can’t fathom the complexity of a system that supports a football stadium like that, but man … it feels like, if they could break things like this, that they could fix it too.

I’m sure they can actually, but, maybe just not immediately I guess? Gonna be a weird game without all of the technology these teams have gotten used to having available to them.

Maaannn what a catch and run by McCoy for Louisville. That was impressive ability to keep his balance, stay in bounds and keep going … and the stiff arm too! That was nice.

Dang, I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a better punt than that one right there by Wisconsin. Dang. That was near perfection. What was that … six inches from the pylon?! That was amazing.

Wow … think Notre Dame got a break there. Don’t think that guy had control of that ball when his foot touched out-of-bounds. Some might also say Wisconsin got screwed, but honestly, just field that kick and we’re not even having this conversation.

Man, it is painful watching Washington State play football. Through almost three full quarters against Washington they can’t even score a single point. Good heavens, come on man.

Good heavens. Western Michigan just got absolutely jobbed. I mean, kudos to Michigan for completing the hail mary, but srsly … I have no idea how you justify putting that one second back on the clock. It had clearly expired, IMHO. Just … wow.

People (myself included) always freak out and make waaayyyy too much of the results of football games in week 1, and maybe even week 2. It’s wild because everyone always talks about how stupid preseason rankings are, and then they follow that up by making just as big of a deal about exactly those rankings when week 1 games are over, despite the fact that we still know so very little about what’s real and true about anyone through the first two weeks of the season.

Just, enjoy it if your team comes out on top, and hope you can get better for next week. Nobody will really know who’s who until at least week 4. Until then, we get to watch football again!

OK, now that the Ducks game is over, I want to go on record and say that while I feel like I’ve always been pretty neutral about Clemson in general, I’m absolutely a fan tonight. Man I hope they beat LSU. Kiffin being Kiffin down there is just … making a college football landscape that’s already in shambles even worse if that’s possible. What a clown show. Take ‘em down Clemson. Go Tigers!!

Take a knee, and walk away grateful for a win against what I’ll bet will be a very good team that wins a lot of games this season. Gotta get better for next week though.

Ducks defense hasn’t been able to get pressure on their quarterback all day. Have to be able to get some pressure on him. He just sits back there and has all day to find an open receiver. Putting way too much pressure on those DBs. That don’t help those penalties either.

Welp, I take it back … may end up being penalties that are the difference today. Ducks have just had too many of them today, and at bad times too. Have to clean that up, and quickly.

Vols are right where they wanna be in a game like this, and Faizon Brandon looks absolutely legit, he definitely looks like he belongs. But again, this is Furman. The competition ramps up in a big way next week, and the O line looks very sus right now. They will have to clean that up before next week for sure.

My goodness to be a fly on the wall in that Ducks locker room this halftime. Is it uncomfortable?? Is it just a deep breath to try to settle down? Is there finger pointing? Are players picking each other up? Would be a REALLY big deal to come out and score on this first drive of the second half. Defense has played reasonably well against a team that I will bet ends up being a pretty good team this year. Sco Ducks.

It can NOT be understated how massive that touchdown is for the Ducks. They needed that in the worst way. With under :20 to go in the first half, 3 points feels WAY better than 10 going in to the half.

I mean, approaching halftime it feels safe to say, this Ducks team looks legitimately bad not great right now. At least on the offensive side of the ball. 😬

Feels pretty natural for fans to want to point at the most significant changes in a program when things don’t look great. Was Drew Mehringer really the best option for the Ducks OC?? Feels fair to ask with the assets this team has on that side of the ball, and the way they’re performing right now.
