Man … what a game. Ducks needed that win, and I’m so glad they avenged Dante Moore. Go Ducks!!!

That was such a ballsy call going for it on 4th down there. Wow.

Le’scoooooooo!!!!

OMG a fourth down stop!!! I need to find a gif or something. I can’t express with just words how excited that made me. Come on boys!! Put this game away!!!

OMG Dakorien Moore what a catch! Man it felt like that pass floated for 10 seconds. Wow. Come on defense!! This is it!! Gotta have a stop now. Sco Ducks!!

Come on Ducks!! We need this! Finish strong for 5!!!

No I do not.

Yyyeessss!! Run it up Ducks!! Leave no doubt!

Let ‘em eat coach!!

Yup

Chris Sims on the halftime show, talkin’ ‘bout Dante Moore sliding too late. Then only later backpedaling and calling out USC player’s classless behavior after the play and on the sidelines …

I’d bet $100 someone off camera sent him a message on that laptop sitting in front of him telling him that was a bad take and to cover his ass.

Man I hope this team can come out fired up after the half and really put this game away. I think Raiola is capable of that. I’ve never in my life wanted Oregon to beat USC more than I want to tonight.

USC player injured on the field … notice there’s no Oregon players celebrating it.

WIN THE MIDDLE 8!!! SCO DUCKS!

Man what an incredible one-handed catch by Johnson. Shame to have that catch called back. Ugh.

💯

Let’s go boys. Do it for Dante!!

Why is that loser still on the sideline?? I thought they had to leave the field after ejection for targeting?? OMG I have a new most hated player in CFB. That was a nasty, dirty play … but then his behavior off the field afterwards has been even more disgusting. Ugh. Gross.

That kid is sitting on the bench laughing while Dante Moore lays on the field. Ejection from this game won’t be enough. That kinda play has no place in football. What a loser.

OMG. Lord Jesus please protect Dante Moore. Hoooo wow, that was an UGLY hit. That dude needs ejected for an ugly hit like that. Wow.

After one quarter, the Ducks are looking OK. I still think they’ve regressed from last year, especially compared to what was expected of them coming in to this season. My confidence in the new coordinators is still very low.

Still, we should be able to beat this USC team, but so far they’re winning in the air better than we are. Given the weapons he has at receiver, Dante Moore should be eating, but he’s not. Not at all yet this year. Gotta be better through the air.

Le’sco Ducks!

Just another quick thought here after having read a bunch of fan commentary on X since the Vols game got over …

Yes, it seems that most people recognize that Faizon Brandon needs to gain some more confidence and start making some throws. He held the ball too long and too much today. He’s got to learn (if he doesn’t already know, which he very well might) to trust his receivers and give them opportunities to make a play.

But I would hope that most people can understand this: if us armchair quarterbacks can see and understand that, the UT coaches most assuredly do too. Much to the dismay of all of the experts out there, they’re not idiots. I know and agree that it feels like it sometimes, but I sincerely don’t think they are. They’ll work with him on these things. He’ll get better.

sigh … I mean … they gave themselves a chance, which was exciting, but that last series was just, ugly.

I genuinely think the difference in this game, most everything else being relatively equal, was one quarterback that had two years of experience vs a true freshman who showed himself to be, while very talented and we Bol fans have much to look forward to, he looked very much like a true freshman with a lot to learn and a lot of room to grow. He gave them a chance, but they just didn’t have enough.

Bummer. Oh well.

What a brutally ugly offensive series here by the Vols. You’ve got a chance. The penalty, the sacks, ugh.

What a turn of events. Never give up. NEVER GIVE UP!!

Wow. Just WOW! Oh my gosh … can we do it??

Defense has certainly done their part and gave us a chance to. The offense has failed us today.

Welp, barring a miracle that feels like it’ll do it. Our offense has been completely inept today. Two scores at this point in the game feels insurmountable.

Vols have kept themselves in this game, hangin’ with the #1 team in the country through three quarters. Can they get off the field yet again and take this game down to the wire?? Come on boys, this game is there for the taking!! Let’s go Vols!!!

OPI … a staple of Josh Heupel’s offense. Ugh

Again, defense keeping the Vols in this game. Offense needs to pull their weight somehow. Figure something out coach.

This game so far man … neither team can run the ball at all, but so far Texas has been able to throw the ball a little bit, and Vols have not. At least, not enough to impact the game meaningfully.

This feels a bit like Brandon’s “true freshman” is showing through. Just … can’t keep shooting ourselves in the foot like this.

Man, I appreciate that Brandon can be mobile but dude … he needs to stop taking giant Ls. Holy crap.

I mean, a field goal is better than a touchdown. Now the offense needs to find a way. Come on boys!!

The Neyland Effect (TM)

Not … not like … that. Ugh

Now the defense gotta do it again!! Let’s go defense!!

Dang … I bet Neyland was absolutely deafening from about half way through his return until after the XP was kicked.

OOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Defense stuffed Texas, and Moss just TOOK IT to the HOUSE!! Oh man that was amazing!! Vols tie it up!!

I know this is the #1 team in the county, but man … only three points in the first half … not a great showing for a “brilliant offensive mind” like Heupel. Only 88 yards of total offense. Come on man, that’s awful.

I guess I just don’t understand what pass interference actually is anymore. The defender, way down the field, is clearly holding the receivers arm down, and pulling on his jersey, having the receiver firmly in his grasp. I have no idea how these TV analysts can try to justify that as simple arm fighting by both players. It absolutely was not. That was DPI if I’ve ever seen it.

Call me an ole man all you want … get off my lawn … but young football players today really need to spend a moment considering what it means to act like you’ve been there before and cut it with all the stupid theatrics. Have fun and all that, yeah yeah, blah blah. Just, go about your business in silence, let the results do the talking.

I can absolutely guarantee you, there’s not a single person out there that’s any more impressed with you after a big first down catch, because you stood up and pointed down the field for everyone to see, or thinks you’re any bigger and tougher than you already showed after a big hit or tackle, because you stood up and stared down the guy you just tackled and got all up in his face.

Like, forreal man … get over yourself and move in to the next play.

OMG that may have been the most bone headed stupid penalty by that Texas defender. What an IDIOT!!

Coach Pope!! Ya boys not getting open! Come oonnnn!!

Is Brandon coming back in?? That would be interesting. Hope he’s good. 😬

Defense doing their part so far … but the Vols offense can’t get anything going at all so far. Come on coach, gotta find something.

It’s maddening watching a QB drop back and have plenty of time and not be able to find anyone open. It’s also hard watching it on TV where, the camera is focused on the ball … hard to see if anyone is actually open or not.

Bro, what an interception by Kayin Lee, that was fantastic.

Aaannndddd now Brandon goes down. sigh … this not lookin’ good so far, yikes.

Defense has looked OK so far, but the DBs appear to be playing zone and Texas is finding the soft spots. Their receivers look to be open all day long.

Vols not looking great so far. Trenches the only phase of the game that looks any good for them so far. Can’t get the run game going. Pass protection looks pretty good so far but dang, our receivers can’t seem to get open … and then when they do, Brandon isn’t finding them. Ugh.
