Bittersweet. Bummed to see USC win, but it’s never bad to watch Washington lose. Plus, USC winning just makes the Ducks win look even better. Oh well.

Holy crap Washington got screwed there on that DPI call. That was on the offense, not the defense. My gosh they got that badly wrong. Far too often in college football defensive backs don’t defend properly and get their head turned around and play the ball. Now, one finally plays it right, plays it perfectly, and he gets screwed with a bad call like that. Washington should be getting the ball back with good field position, and yet instead, USC keeps the ball and gets bailed out of bad field position. Yikes … that was really bad.

Don’t think I can stomach the idea of actually pulling for Washington to win this game against USC, but I will say for certain that I’m pulling for USC to lose.

Despite all of that groaning, I have to virtually high-five Desean Bishop. What a game man. A hat trick with three touchdowns and 220yds rushing today. That’s amazing no matter how you spin it. Great work today young fella!!

Like, I don’t know off the top of my head who it is that we play next, but it won’t surprise me at all if that team, whoever it is, just stacks the box with 7 or 8 defenders with some various stunts and blitzes, selling out to stop the run, and at this point, I’m not convinced we’ll be able to score at all.

We had a grand total of 86 passing yards in this win against Auburn, paired with 236 yards rushing. Shut down that rushing game, and through five games now, I’ve not seen enough to convince me we can win a game when we’re forced to throw the football. That’s what concerns me.

A win is a win and you always take it, but that Vols win didn’t feel great to me. Finding it difficult to put my finger on why exactly, other than to say that my confidence in this team’s ability to sustain success through this season and make it into the playoffs is very low. The defense is fantastic, and huge kudos to them. I just don’t think it can be denied that the offense is really, really bad and better teams will beat us badly I think.

Really interesting dynamic here in this game with McIntyre replacing Brandon. I’m not good enough to be able to watch the game and see what exactly is different. GMac hasn’t actually thrown the ball all that much really. Maybe it didn’t take all that much. But even the run game has been significantly better since he came into the game.

GMac showin’ us what happens when they can find even a sliver of a passing game.

125yds of offense, and 3pts … in a half of football. Is this the worst offense Coach Heupel has ever had? Explosive plays are non-existent. Can barely complete a pass. Run game is mid. OL is atrociously bad. This is just painful to watch.

Ben McKee reporting that it looks like McIntyre is gonna be coming in at QB. Couldn’t do any worse right?? Don’t need a ton of skill to hand the ball off, and Brandon genuinely appears to not be able to throw the ball against SEC defenses.

OMG this Tennessee offense is just painful to watch. Just absolutely awful.

Vols only have 25yds of total offense in the first quarter. That’s just embarrassing. Genuinely awful.

Yeah, Coach Heupel is gonna have to embrace a move this year with his OL coach like he did last year with his DC. This OL is just awful. Like, legitimately, srsly awful.

Tennessee’s defense is absolutely legit. That’s a dang good defense. Unfortunately, as good as the defense is, the offense is equally and oppositely bad. Ugh.

Bummer of an opening drive be the Vols. Hope the defense can keep us in the game. 😕
